Carrying a 400cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine that is Euro 4 compliant, the X-Max 400 is claimed by Yamaha to put out 32hp and 36Nm of torque. Fed by EFI, the X-Max 400 uses a CVT transmission with belt final drive. The fuel consumption annouced is 4.18L/100km.
ABS is standard for the X-Max 400, an added bonus as standard fitment is the Yamaha Traction Control System (TCS), which reduces rear wheel power when wheel slip is detected, LED lighting front and rear, along with a two-position tool-adjusted windscreen, the Smart key, a storage compartment under-seat that accommodate 2 full-face helmets
Rolling on a 15-inch wheel in front and 13-incher at the back end, the X-Max 400 is grabbed by twin hydraulic disc brakes. Fuel capacity is 13-litres, and wet weight for this Yamaha maxi-scooter is 210 kg.
