Yamaha YZF-R150 of MotoGP edition officially released (17/08)

Compared to old version, Yamaha YZF R-15 V3.0 MotoGP Edition has simpler appearance with the latest stickers of YZR-M1 from Yamaha Factory Racing team. While the yellow brand name is still on fuel tanks, two logos featuring the bike’s name and sponsor have been redesigned.

The vehicle’s bodywork is inherited from “senior” R1 and R6. Vehicle dimension is 1,900 x 725 x 1,135 mm and wheelbase is 1,325 mm. The bike’s weight is reduced to 137kg with fuel tank capacity of 11 liters. This model gets slim, sharp LED headlight and vertical tail lights. Braking system includes disc brakes on both front and rear wheels. Unfortunately, they are not supported by ABS. On the latest version in India, suspension system continues to be handled by telescopic front fork and rear monoshock.

Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 MotoGP Edition 2018 carries 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC engine with variable valve actuation (VVA), generating max power of 19hp at 10,000rpm and max torque of 15Nm at 8,500rpm. Teaming up with it is 6-speed gearbox. In addition, the bike is equipped with slipper clutch. Currently, it is competing with CBR150R and Suzuki GSX-R150.
