VinFast just debuted its first smart electric motorcycle under the name Klara.
The vehicle is claimed to be flood-proof, non-noise, non-emission and much more economical than traditional motorcycle. In addition, it also gets the latest innovative features such as Internet connectivity, GPS navigation, remote lock, emergency warnings and smartphone integration. Accordingly, user can update the bike’s riding log and find charging station via their phones.
Klara is available in 2 versions including Premium using Lithium-ion battery and Standard with lead-acid accumulator. It can cover up to 80 km on a full charge.
Along with the launch of the first electric motorcycle model, VinFast also officially put its electric motorbike factory, which was built on the area of 6.4 hectares, into operation. The factory has designed capacity of 250,000 units per year at the first phase and will be expanded to produce 500,000 units at the second phase, aiming to be the most modern electric motorcycle manufacturing factory in Southeast Asia.
At the opening ceremony, VinFast also announced its the comprehensive ecosystem for electric vehicle including charge and battery rental station, cloud computing system with mobile application and authorized dealers.
The firm expects to release 4 more eScooters at low, mid and high segments by 2019 and other 3 models designed for Vietnamese students.
