With the deficiency located in the frontal oil conductor, Yamaha R3 has been recalled in American markets due to substantial endangerment to riders at high speeds.
Recently, the National Highway Traffic Safety Admission in America has issued an announcement on the recall of one of the hottest motorcycle models from Yamaha using 300cc engine. Yamaha R3 2019 have been alerted to bear a faulty front brake that poses a threat on the highway.
Accordingly, the fault identified in the 1,561 Yamaha R3 units rolling on American soil is located in the front brake’s oil wire, which is susceptible to rubbing and colliding with the horn in the rake area. If the situation occurs overtime, the oil wire may be torn and causes brake fluid leakage, endangering the rider.
Secondly, also in the area of front brake of Yamaha R3 2019, there are up to 1,480 units suffer from possible flaw in the stabilizing wire pads, causing these wires to overstretch, colliding with other parts during operation and results in cracks or breakage. Yamaha will have to recall all R3 units manufactured and sold in 2019 in the US to examine and fix the problem.
Yamaha R3 2019 brings in brand new shell design, distinct from previous editions of the Sport city. R3 is equipped with an in-line double-cylinder 321cc engine, liquid-cooled, allowing for the model to produce 42 HP units at 10,750 RPM; reaching a max torque of 29.6 Nm at 9,000 RPM along with 6-level gearbox.
