In the small hand-clutch segment, Yamaha Exciter is currently leading the segment with 16,000 vehicles sold in March 2017 (up 4% over the same period last year) & 54,000 vehicles sold in the first three months of 2017 (down 3% over the same period last year), outstrips its rival Honda WINNER with only 5,000 vehicles sold in March 2017 & 23,000 vehicles sold in the first three months of 2017.
In addition, 2 hand-clutch models of Suzuki, Suzuki Axle and Suzuki Raider were sold out only in 1,000 and 500 vehicles in March 2017. In the first three months of 2017, Suzuki sold just 3,000 Suzuki Axelo and 1,000 Suzuki Raider. However, in terms of the proportion of growth compared to the same period last year, these both models’s growths ]are much higher than Honda Yamaha Exciter’s & WINNER’s with the proportion of 29% & 141% (included in march 2017 & march 2016).
Finally is the Yamaha TFX150 with 200 vehicles sold in March 2017 & 600 vehicled sold in the first three months of 2017. However, this is not the main model of Yamaha’s market orientation plan.
